Euro Auctions is a world leading auctioneer of industrial, plant, construction & agricultural equipment. With sites in UK, Germany, Spain, Australia, USA and Abu Dhabi, Euro Auctions conducts 50+ auctions selling thousands of Lots every year.

The company’s continued growth has led to an opportunity for a Sales and Operations Manager to support and develop the team in Australia.

The Job

The Sales and Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all yard operations, ensuring the smooth running of all auctions, and ensuring consistent profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning and management of the sales force.

  • Oversee the booking in of all auctions stock ensuring accuracy of descriptions and correct procedures are followed.
  • Ensure all auction stock is suitably prepared for sale, photographed and displayed on the company website.
  • Manage and coordinate the workloads of all yard staff and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with the marketing team to ensure all equipment is photographed.
  • Resolve any stock related issues.
  • Manage the training and on-going performance of our sales team.
  • Set, manage, and deliver sales revenue targets for each our Territory Managers.
  • Daily review and monitoring of each Territory Manager's activity.
  • Included in the valuations team to assist in stock purchasing and sales propositions.

The Person

This role requires an organised individual with excellent problem solving and task management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to work both indoors and outdoors year-round and be physically fit to climb on and off large equipment.

The Requirements

  • Strong management skills, including performance management, coaching, succession planning and career development.
  • Experience of running a successful sales team with individual team targets.
  • Analytical with previous experience in preparation of sales plans and reports.
  • Understanding of CRM systems.
  • Experience/interest in heavy plant machinery and good knowledge of the different categories.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Be able to prioritise, multitask and use initiative.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is essential.
  • Previous experience of stock control is desirable.
  • Flexible and available to work extra hours at short notice during busy auction periods.
