 The Job

Provide on-going IT support to the group.

Review and management of website, auction images, videos and search facility.

Setup and manage end user access, security, Print and mobile deployments through Active Directory.

Assist with Technical and Operational Support for Windows 2012/2016 Servers including Domain Controllers, Office365, Vmware, SQL, Dynamics CRM, Altaro Backup and Sage on a Cloud hosted platform.

PC Support for Windows10/Virtual desktops and Operational Support for IP Telephony, Cloud hosting & Mobile Apps.

Operational Auction setup and support including e-Clerking, score-boarding, Audio-Visual & CCTV.

Worldwide Travel available & Essential.

The Person

This role requires an organised individual with excellent problem solving skills and a keen attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential and you should have the ability to communicate ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.

The Requirements

  • Currently studying towards/completing a 3rd Level Degree or equivalent in a relative discipline with the ability to work full time for 12 - 15 months.
  • Experience/interest in hardware maintenance and/or network administration preferred.
  • Exposure to supporting hardware, software and communications systems and integration.  
  • Proficiency and confidence in managing databases and using the following applications: SQL, MS Office Suite and Web based software.
  • An interest in Audio and Visual Equipment would be an advantage.
  • Experience in working with collaborative technologies and an interest in development projects.
  • Flexible with ability to work extra hours at short notice during busy auction periods

 

All placement opportunities are based at Headquarters in Dromore, Co. Tyrone.

Each opportunity has a unique focus though they all require innate problem solving, commercial acumen and the ability to think on your feet. You’ll get to work with and learn from experts in the field of Auctioneering.

Who can apply?

While these opportunities are initially aimed at third year placement students they are also open to fresh graduates eager to gain valuable international business experience.

All Placements are paid and some offer the chance to travel to other sites.  

At Euro Auctions we have core requirements for any placement role.

Candidates must:

  • Be studying towards a third level discipline preferably in Business, IT, HR, Marketing or Accounts (other disciplines will be considered)
  • Demonstrate common sense with exceptional commercial awareness.  
  • Show proficiency in entire MS Office suite especially Excel.
  • Be reliable, self-motivated with good attention to detail and an exceptional work ethic.
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to work extra hours during busy auction periods.
  • Maintain a valid passport.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Have a desire to exceed expectations

Our Selection Process

We like to hire the best so our selection process is designed to uncover true potential.

Candidates apply initially via CV at www.euroauctions.com selecting the department they wish to be considered for. At this stage we want to know about your education, career motivations and any work experience.

Closing date for all applications is 31st January 2021 after which those selected will be invited to group assessment events during February / March 2021.

Group assessment events are based on a robust understanding of what makes people successful at Euro Auctions. They comprise of scenario based, numerical, problem solving and accuracy based tests. While there is no need to prepare for these assessments all candidates are asked to familiarise themselves with Excel.

There may be a final interview if we are unable to make final selections after the group assessments.

This is the last step. If we like you at final interview – and you like us – we’ll offer you a placement. Either way, we won’t keep you guessing; we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
