Pre-Bidding

Busy on the day of the auction, want to bid on multiple items in different Rings at the same time, unsure of your internet connection, not confident yet to bid online live? Then pre-bidding is a great alternative and allows you to secure your bid on an item.

If you are interested in bidding in our Timed Online Only Auctions please click here.

Before you can leave a pre-bid online you will need to:

2. Register for the auction

3. Pay your deposit

You may need to pay a deposit – if a deposit is needed you will be promoted and directed to the payment screen. A minimum deposit of £/€/$ 1,000 is required which allows a credit limit of £/€/$ 10,000.

4. Approved to bid

You will receive confirmation by email when you have been approved to bid. You can now login and leave your pre-bid.

5. Lot Numbers

6. Bidding

A Pre-Bid is the maximum bid and by placing a Pre-Bid you consent to Euro Auctions bidding on your behalf up to the maximum amount specified by you.

Pre-Bidding will continue up to when the lot is open for 'Live Bidding'.

Any description changes made to lots with pre-bids placed on them will make the pre-bid invalid and the Pre-Bidder will be notified of the change by email.

Euro Auctions will email the Pre-Bidder when their bid has been received and outbid.

Please Note: you will receive an email notification if you are outbid by another pre-bid, however due to the fast-paced nature of live auctions you WILL NOT receive an email notification when outbid during LIVE bidding.

7. Choice Groups

All stock is sold in lot number order. Items that are similar can be sold as a Choice Group. The winning bidder on a choice group can choose one or more of the items, each sold at the winning bid price. Any lots not taken in the choice group are offered to the runner-up bidder at the same price. If not taken the auctioneer will start the bidding process again on the remaining items.

If you wish to leave a pre-bid on lots in a choice group you must leave a bid on each lot.

Example:

  • Choice Group of 3.
  • If you want all 3, you must place 3 bids.
  • If you place a bid on just 1 lot in the choice, the other items could possibly sell for lower than your pre-bid, because they went to the higher bidder or runner up at the start of the Group lots.
  • Choice lots can be cancelled or increased by the auctioneer at the time of sale.

8. Invoices

If you are the highest bidder, you will be issued an invoice. All invoices must be paid in advance before goods can be collected.
